The health and safety of our guests and team members is of utmost importance to us. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, rest assured that our hotel management team continues to follow the advice and guidance of leading health agencies and governments to take the necessary steps to maintain a safe environment for our staff and guests. In response to this unprecedented situation, we have added the following additional hygiene measures which go over and above our already high standards:

Contactless check-in and check-out:  Our inn by way of layout and design is very COVID-19 safe. We have a self-check-in/check-out system, so there is no reception desk and thus very little risk of unnecessary contact between our staff and guests. With only five suites in total—two of them with their own private entrances—there is very little foot traffic on the property compared to large hotels.

Enhanced cleaning protocols: The frequency of cleaning and sanitizing has been increased in all guest rooms and common areas, with extra attention given to high-contact surfaces (e.g. door handles, light switches, remotes). Linens are also now sanitized in a high-temperature wash.

Physical distancing: Signage has been placed in our common area to ensure the recommended physical distancing guidelines are respected.

Hand sanitizer: A hand sanitizer dispenser can now be found in the front entrance and we ask that all guests use this upon entering and leaving the building. Hand soap can also be found in every bathroom and kitchen sink in all of our suites.

Enhanced cleaning products: Whitney Manor only uses cleaning products and protocols that have been approved for combating viruses, bacteria and other pathogens. Staff members use the Microban product line, a cleaning product that keeps surfaces sanitized for up to 24 hours, even after multiple touches.

Training of team members:  All employees have been trained in safety and sanitation protocols as they apply to COVID-19, including proper hand washing techniques. The wearing of masks is mandatory for all employees in indoor common spaces or any other close contact situation.

Health Checks: All staff members are required to fill out a wellness form before they begin their work shift. If a staff member is showing signs or symptoms of COVID-19, they will be immediately sent home and supported in contacting their healthcare provider.
